EVs back in 1832?
I've found this article which is setting the history of electric vehicles back to the 1832. Very interesting!
Obviously there wont be any picture of original prototypes as photography was invented just a few years later.
These vehicles were in essence carriages, only towards the end the 1800s we see the designs evolving to more self contained shapes, for instance with the iconic "La Jamaise Contente" designed by Camille Jénatzy. That vehicle went on to break the speed record of 100Km/h in 1899, and yes it was an electric vehicle.
The history of electric vehicles began in 1830.
